Five Shoes To Wear This Spring

IMG_4467.jpeg

The weather is finally getting warmer, and this year, I feel more excited for warmer temps than I have in years. Moving back to a state where winter is a bit more extreme + the pandemic has something to do with it I am sure. I cannot wait to spend time outside and soak up some vitamin D and breathe some fresh air.

Warmer weather (and no snow) calls for a change in my shoe choices. Fewer boots and closed-toed options and more breathable slip-on options.

Here are five shoes I am looking forward to wearing this spring:

Espadrilles | When the weather starts to get warmer, I reach for my espadrilles over and over. The rope detail is perfect for warmer weather outfits. I currently own three types of espadrilles - two heeled versions (here and here) and one flat version (similar: here). Soludos has some of my favorite espadrille options.

Huaraches | I picked up Nisolo Huaraches last summer during a sale, and I loved them immediately. There was little to no break-in time, and they just have this tropical locale vibe to them that I want to channel to my life in central Ohio. The leather molds to your feet to create the most comfortable flat I have owned in years.

Open Toed Mules | I don’t know about you, but I am so ready to let my toes get some air. It feels like it’s been FOREVER since my toes saw the light of day. Mules are some of my favorites types of shoes, and when the weather warms up I opt for an open-toed version. Mine are last season from Madewell, but I linked a few pairs on my wish list.

Heeled Sandals | Sandals in general are on my to be worn list when the temps get warmer. I purchased a pair of brown heeled sandals right before the pandemic hit last year, so I am itching to wear them this spring. The brown leather keeps them casual while the heel makes them a bit dressier.

White Sneakers | This is a year-round shoe for me, but I really love white or white-ish sneakers with shorts or a sundress. It’s the perfect mix of comfy and cool. Plus, they are great for long days of walking if you’re out sightseeing or exploring the city. I am a huge fan of my Everlane Court Sneakers, and I will always love my Converse.

What shoes are you looking forward to wearing this spring?

xx,

Linds
