The Good Goods: February 2021
In January, we purchased a few large pieces of furniture, so I took it rather easy with my purchases in February in an effort to balance things out. When I reflected upon what I purchased in February that wasn’t groceries, food, or items for the dog I landed on four items that continue to bring me joy.
Kala Ukelele | Lately, I have felt like my hands are too idle. I know I have work to do on a computer between day work and blog work, but really I want to be doing something with my hands that isn’t typing. I miss being creative and doing something just for the fun. Jess Keys, @jesskeys_, inspired me when she started showing up on her IG with a ukelele. She has an entire post on purchasing a ukelele. I briefly learned to play one in elementary school music class and thought this could be a fun new hobby. Well, besides the past week while I got my strings fixed, it has been so fun (and great for my brain) learning a new instrument. Be on the lookout for more ukelele content in the future.
Eyebrow Lamination | Earlier in February I had my eyebrows tinted and laminated, and I immediately wondered what the hell I was doing with my eyebrows before this. I went to Lacquer Gallery and saw Leah, @ohio.esthetician. She did an amazing job, and this is something that will be budgeted into my beauty budget moving forward. Gimme all the banging brows.
Bare it All Tank Bodysuit | So I don’t know about you, but I do not own that many “going out” tops. Most of my closet is a wear everyday kind of vibe, and truthfully, I’m okay with that. But every once in a while, I want something fancy to wear for a date night or girl’s night. I saw this bodysuit and felt an instant draw to it. I could see myself wearing it with skinny jeans and heels or booties AND cute jean shorts and sandals. It’s still a bit too cold here to wear this, but I look forward to a future date night.
Maybe I’ll do a style session or a reel with this bodysuit soon.
Olive & June Primer | YESSSS! I’ve been waiting for this product from Olive & June since I started painting my own nails in January of 2020. I’ve used this twice and I already know this will be a repeat purchase. My manis are lasting longer and I cannot complain about that.

Have you tried anything above? What were some of your favorite purchases from February?
xx.
