2020 Game Day Looks: Volume Two

So I’m changing things up. Originally, this was a weekly series where I shared what I would wear the upcoming weekend if there had been a football game, but we’re switching it to a monthly series where I’ll share 3-5 outfits that I would wear to games for the upcoming month. Kind of like a style session. This makes it a little more worth your time, and this allows me to share more content throughout the month for you.

I didn’t mention this last time, but I am kind of anti team-branded items.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good graphic tee. However, as I work towards curating a closet I love with clothing I will wear over and over, my game day wear had to be scrutinized as well. Also, with the possibility of moving every few years I need to get as much out of my game day clothes as possible. I look for pieces I will wear regardless of its game day or not in school colors. My current closet is made for green, especially dark green, schools. When we were with UNLV it was a bit more difficult for me as red is just not in my color wheel.

Here is what I would’ve worn to football games in the month of September.

look one

dress // shoes // jacket // bag // scarf

My jean jacket is actually the men’s version. The women’s versions were too short on my arms, so I followed the measurements per the website and found the perfect size. My dress is backordered. I ordered it during quarantine and really love it. I always worry shirt dresses will lay weird, but this is just right. My scarf is from Tono & Co, but is sold out. I’ve linked the entire green line here. This silk piece is so wonderful.

Look Two

top // pants: similar // shoes // vest: not available // bag: similar and similar

This trench vest is no longer available, but I will keep an eye out for a quality similar one. I feel like this long vest gives this look a cool vibe it doesn’t have without it. These jeans are the perfect vintage crops and are also sold out, but I linked another perfect vintage pair that looks identical. You cannot go wrong with the perfect vintage. I added a leopard print clutch for a fun texture and print.

Look Three

top: similar // pants: not available // shoes // jacket // bag: similar and similar

This is same jacket as the first look, so follow those sizing guidelines. These pants, I know, I’m sorry, they aren’t available, but let me tell you they are a favorite in my closet. If you can find a pair of wide-leg pants in your school colors, your outfit game will go up about 10 points. It’s a bit unexpected without being too crazy. Pair with a simple top and mules.

look four

top // jeans or similar // shoes // jacket: not available // bag

This top is so good. I’ve had it for couple years, and it doesn’t seem to be going away. What I love most about this top is that is comes in a few other colors that I know some of you could rock on game day. My leather jacket was a purchase from Italy years ago. My recommendations when choosing a leather jacket are 1) go classic over trendy and 2) treat it as an investment piece. You will own it for years if you take care of it.

Necklaces throughout linked here. Lipstick is a base of this, then blotted with a light dab of this on top.

xx,

Linds
