The Good Goods: August 2020
Wow, even though we are halfway through the month, I still cannot believe it is September. Starting this month, I will share a few of my favorite finds, products, and purchases from the previous month. These are all things I love and hope you find useful or fun or add value to your life in some way. Let’s jump right in.
REN Atlantic and Microalgae Anti-Fatigue Toning Body Oil
I am always on the hunt for body moisturizers that are clean(er) and safe(r) than what I’ve used in the past. And this body oil takes the cake. A little goes a long way, and my skin has never felt so moisturized for such an extended period of time. And if you are worried about feeling greasy or oily, this product soaks into your skin so well. My skin always feels so hydrated.
I cannot sleep. I can’t fall asleep, I can’t stay asleep, and I can’t get enough sleep. This CBD oil has been helping me get the best sleep in years. I know you see it all over Instagram, but trust me it is that good. I take a full dropper at night before bed and then a daily pill after breakfast. I feel like a calmer, more rested version of myself. I don’t have a code, but I promise you one of your favorite influencers does. Go get some sleep girlfriend.
I’m sure you’ve seen it all over my Instagram, but I am obsessed (and I do not use the “o” word lightly") with Olive & June. I talk about the obsessions in detail in this blog post. I promise you it will change your life, and if not your life at least your mind about having your nails professionally done. Use this link for $10 off your purchase of $50 or more.
I was always an in-person group class gym goer. I have never loved working out at home until Obé (and the pandemic). I truly love Obé. There are so many class types to choose from plus you can filter by instructors, length of class, type of equipment, and on and on. It really is wonderful and has kept me motivated through this difficult year. If you want a code, use SAM100 for a free month. I don’t have a code, but if you are interested, I want to be sure you get the discount we all deserve.
Beautycounter Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer
Like many people, I haven’t worn makeup quite as often as I did before the pandemic. It’s been really nice to let my skin breathe, but sometimes I do want a little something to even things out a bit without wearing actual makeup and Beautycounter’s Tint Skin is the perfect product for this desire. It leaves your skin looking so dewy while providing 20 SPF coverage and giving your skin a dose of black currant seed oil, peony root extract, and vitamin C for firmness and radiance.
I have wanted a longer cream cardigan for a while, so when this one was restocked in my size during the Nordstrom sale, I snagged it. This sweater is so soft and will be a favorite layer for the fall and winter months. It’s a great staple to add to your closet.
I first saw this hot sauce brand on Instagram and was intrigued. Then I learned it hails from Austin, Texas and I figured why not give it a chance since we were out of hot sauce. Let me say, this doesn’t disappoint. We like the jalapeño sauce the best. It is carrot-based, which I’ve read doesn’t adjust the flavor or heat quite like tomato-based sauces do. The blue agave siracha is great as well. We use it mostly for making spicy mayo or different sauces for tacos. The one thing I love most about these sauces is I recognize all of the ingredients on the label. There isn’t one thing I have to google.
