Style Sessions: Six Jackets For Fall

Cooler weather is here, and it seems like most every girl is jumping for joy about fall! I feel like my style is so much better in the cooler months because I can layer on a jacket and scarf and hat and all of the things. Once fall rolls around, I live in the six jackets below.

To show you how each jacket can change the look, I styled each jacket with the same white t-shirt and black jeans. The jacket, shoes and purse will change. Here are the links for my t-shirt and jeans throughout. I will say, I do not recommend this shirt. It is see through, and I did return it. However, I own a few other things from Marine Layer and I love quality.

Blazer

Finding a traditional blazer is still on my list of pieces to add to my closet, but for now, this sweater blazer fills the void as best as it can. I picked the camel color because I felt it would go with the majority of my wardrobe. This sweater blazer seems to always go on sale, so if you haven’t snagged it yet be sure to keep an eye out for a sale before hitting the purchase button.

This season, I am looking for an oversized black or grey blazer to round out my jacket collection. I’ll be sure to update y’all when I find one I love.

Olive Utility Jacket

This is one of my most worn jackets. I wear it in the spring, summer, and fall. Olive really is a color that goes with so many things in my closet (dare I say it is kind of a neutral) and the options for this jacket are endless. If you don’t already own this layer, it is a must to round out your fall (spring and summer) wardrobe.

Leather Jacket

Whenever I want to add some punch to an outfit, I reach for my black leather jacket. It adds an edge and level of effortlessly cool to an outfit with little effort. I linked a few faux leather jackets, but if you invest in a quality leather jacket you will have it for years to come.

Beige Suede Moto Jacket

I opted for a beige suede jacket as opposed to a brown leather jacket because I loved the texture of this one. This jacket comes in a ton of other colors, so if beige is not your color this cut and style is still a great addition to your closet.

Denim Jacket

Denim jackets are a year-round staple for me, but I love throwing this on over sweaters to add another texture to my look. A denim jacket makes any outfit more casual while still looking put together. I like to add a few enamel pins to my pockets for fun.

Fun Tip: I ordered mine from the men’s department. I couldn’t find one that fit how I wanted, so I searched outside of the women’s section. I followed the measurement guide exactly, and I am really happy with the fit.

Rain Jacket

I added this jacket to my closet last fall, and I am so glad I did. It was a Penfield x Madewell edition, and I have worn it so much. It is lined with fleece and is a perfect jacket for the days when it’s chilly and rainy. And of course, the olive color was perfect for my closet.

Do you own any of these key jackets for fall? If so, what is your favorite?

xx,

Linds
