2021 Game Day Looks: Volume One

I cannot express my excitement for this upcoming season. I am excited to go to games and cheer on my team(s) while still taking the necessary precautions to keep me and my family safe.

The early games are always brutal because they are usually sweltering. And while I want to look cute, I also want to wear something to keep myself protected from the sun and that doesn’t feel suffocating. I truly hate the way it feels to get sweaty and have your clothes stick to you. For this session, we stuck to shorts, easy t-shirt dresses, cotton tops, and hats. I should note to please, please remember to lather up the SPF. My favorite is the SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen for my face and Supergoop Play! for body. Other essentials right now are masks-just in case you’re in a close-quarters situation, sunglasses, hats, and hydrating well before heading to the game. Should we do a game-day essentials post?

Sometimes game days are too hot for sleeves and colors. On days like this, I opt for a white tank top. If I sweat who cares, right? Since the outfit doesn’t really have the primary school color, I added a Tono + Co scarf to my pony. The thing I like about the scarf is I won’t always want to wear head-to-toe team colors as I do with the green. For example, I am not of how I look in red or orange. I have a lot of natural pink and red undertones, so I don’t gravitate in that direction. But I will throw on a little pop here and there. You can truly find whatever color you are looking for with Tono + Co. scarves.

This top and the shorts are newer to me this summer. I have been on the lookout for a good solid green shirt, and I stumbled upon Alex Mill mostly because I fell in love with their jumpsuits, but I saw this shirt knew it would fill a gap in my wardrobe. And same with the white shorts. I have very few shorts in my wardrobe and thought I would give these a try. I did size down one in the shorts, and they are the perfect length. This might be the sportiest look of the bunch. Give me a good striped tee in my team’s colors, cutoffs, comfy shoes, and a ball cap and we are ready for game day. My hair might go up in a pony about five minutes into stepping outside, but we will still look cute.

I own this dress in black and I wear it non-stop in the warmer months, and when I saw it in green I knew I had to have it. Green is one of my wardrobe staples and I can wear it for game days. Top it with a wide brim hat for sun protection and add comfy shoes and you’re golden. Unfortunately, this bag isn’t available anymore, but I linked a similar style. This camera bag is perfect for game days.

xx,

Linds
