Five Truths and No Lies
Since we’re both new here, I want to share five things about me so we could start to get to know each other better. Whether we've known each other for a while now or if it's only been a few clicks, I am sure you'll learn something new below.
1. I am a Texan. It truly is an essential part of who I am, how I grew up, my values and how I like my food (spicy) and my hair (big). In grad school, I earned the nickname "Tex" and couldn't walk into class without one of my Canadian classmates yelling out, "oh hey, y'all!" Even though I don’t live in the state anymore you will see my Texan roots show through my posts occasionally.
2. I am fiercely loyal to my friends and family. I truly believe in finding your people and loving and supporting them unconditionally. When I consider you one of "my people" it doesn't take much to convince me to be on your side when you've been wronged. I once told a friend's ex-boyfriend he needed to leave my 22nd birthday party even though all of our mutual friends were there because my loyalty belonged to my friend. Respectfully, he showed himself the door.
3. I am a former child star. Growing up, I did print modeling and commercials in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My claim to fame was a brief part on an episode of Barney (1:51 mark -- blink and you'll miss me). You're welcome.
4. I am not a singer, but I love karaoke. My go-to karaoke song is "Shoop" by Salt-N-Pepa. I know the entire song by heart and sometimes just start singing it. Due to this, my husband now knows every word as well. "Here I go, here I go, here I go again. Girls, what's my weakness? Men (Brian)!"
5. I am a pressed penny collector. It all started because I hate clutter. I wanted something small and cheap to commemorate my travels, and the Lord blessed me with pressed penny machines at most all touristy destinations. We currently keep them in shadow boxes as part of a gallery wall and to decorate shelves. Some of my favorites are the few I've been gifted from others' travels.
Help me get to know you by sharing a fun fact(s) about you in the comments below!

Lindsae
P.S. I gave these Girls Support Girls shirts from Daisy Natives to my friends at my bachelorette party last year. They were the perfect girl power party favor.
