DIY Halloween Bats
First, let me say doing this simple DIY brought me so much joy! I used to make and create so much with my hands when I was younger and while this is simple it felt good to make something again.
Growing up, my mom always went all out when it came to holiday decorations. For Halloween, she builds a giant spider in our front yard out of trash bags, newspapers, and underground electrical tubing. My friends from high school will randomly send me pictures of their kids in front of this spider during trick or treating.
I’ve always wanted to be the person who is super extra with the holiday decorations, but since we move regularly for Brian’s job, I try not to acquire too much stuff we would need to store and transport each time. However, I’ve had this desire to do a bat flying scene for the last couple of years, but I haven’t been able to source bats that I like. So this year, I decided to DIY them and bats are all over the ‘gram this season.
