Style Sessions: White Pants

Yesterday, I styled white pants with three amazing ladies - Megan, Caitlin and Brooke. If you missed how they styled their white pants be sure to check them out before our stories disappear. These ladies have some serious style y’all and I already see a few pieces I need to add to my spring and summer capsule.

I love a good white pant, and it took me forever to settle on these Madewell button fly ones. Sometimes I feel like white pants can make me look wider across my hips than I actually am. Which makes me feel bad about myself, so I can tend to stay away from them. But I feel like the button fly breaks up all the white to help alleviate that issue.

I wanted to recap my four looks for y’all and share the links for items here in case you aren’t a fan of using the LIKEtoKNOW.it app.

I love monochromatic looks. White on white is a great summer look and is so easy to pull off. Unlike denim on denim, white on white can be the exact same shade. I try to make sure the materials are different. Here, I paired a silky feeling cami with the denim. I broke up the monochromatic look by adding in this Guatemalan print belt I picked up on vacation and slid on my Sam Edelman sandals.

Look Two

Brian gave this look the 100 and fire emoji, so it’s safe to say this look is good. I purchased this top because my wardrobe lacks spring and summer pieces. I love how flowy it is and the gorgeous floral print. To dress this look up a bit, I added my TOM Majorca mules. I wrote a post about giving mules a chance and now I can’t get enough of them. I have my eye on a few of the Madewell pairs.

Look Three

I wanted to share a sportier look, so I paired my white pants with a simple gray tee tucked in and my white low-top chucks. I love wearing chucks. They are so comfortable and can help make an outfit casual without feeling like you don’t care. This look pairs well with both a denim jacket and a fatigue jacket.

look four

For the last look, I paired my white pants with a gray slouchy sweater and my leopard booties. This is a look I’d wear to work or on a date on a chillier day or night. I tucked this sweater in to give myself a bit of a waist. To add some sass and a print, I put my leopard booties on to complete the outfit.
