Style Sessions: Snake Skin Booties

I feel so excited to share this style session because a handful of you told me you recently purchased snakeskin booties. This style session has perfect timing. I purchased these booties toward the end of 2019 and barely got to wear them before March. Unfortunately, they are not available, but here is this year’s style and last year’s style in a different color. Also, here is a super similar Target option.

Most animal prints should be deemed as a neutral in my opinion. I find when I look at them like a neutral then it is so much easier to style them. If they are neutral, they go with anything, right? Right!

Look One

I recently added this ribbed stretchy pencil skirt to my closet, and I am really loving how it feels and how comfortable it is. I tucked my oversized sweater into my bra to create a crop sweater look and added a denim jacket for more texture and a bit of casualness.

Look Two

This could totally be a game-day look for me while we’re with Ohio. I am sure you’ve seen some variation of this look in a style session recently as I am a firm believer in shopping your closet and wearing what you have. It’s one of the reasons I started this space. I love a good mix of neutrals - denim, black, olive - with a pop of fun with the snakeskin booties.

Look Three

Top faux leather leggings with an oversized button-down and cardigan and you have an easy, comfy, yet pulled together outfit. I love it when I can make leggings work-appropriate by covering my butt. Change out the chambray shirt with a white button-down or a flannel.

Look Four

If you need something dressier for work, then get yourself some paper bag pants. They are equal parts comfy and professional looking. I tucked in a long sleeve turtleneck to create a sleek look and topped the look with a suede jacket for more texture.

Look Five

I am always on the hunt for a good white t-shirt, and this one delivers. I did size up one since it is 100% cotton. I added my dispatch jacket for some color. This would be a go-to look for me.

Look Six

dress: similar // jacket: similar and similar // shoes: this years and similar and similar // purse // hat: similar

I love a good black on black outfit. You can never go wrong with a monochromatic look and this feels very appropriate for Halloween this weekend. I linked a similar hat, but my favorite hat brand is Goorin Bros. They are pricey, but the customer service and quality are worth it.

Jewelry throughout here and here and here. Lipstick throughout here.

Do you own snakeskin booties? If so, do you view them as a neutral?

xx,

Linds
