Style Sessions: Sleeveless Long Vest

I purchased this long vest after seeing Conni with Art In The Find style hers and falling in love with how it pulls a look together. I truly feel so powerful and confident when I wear it, plus the olive color compliments my wardrobe so well. A long vest was not something that was originally on my shortlist of items I needed for my wardrobe, but I am here to tell you this piece should not be overlooked.

For this style session, I partnered with Joanne from Fabulously Average to style our sleeveless long vests. We both were rooting each other on when it came to adding this to our wardrobe and now we’re here to do the same for you. Bonus: My vest is on sale and available in most sizes!

This is the outfit I wore when I picked up this long vest and I immediately felt so chic — like an off duty French girl. The vest took such a simple outfit to another level. I sized down one size in the jeans. They’re tight, but I know they will relax to the perfect fit.

With the weather changing it was definitely on my list to incorporate my faux leather leggings. It’s been a while since I’ve worn these, but I am excited to have them back in the rotation. This sweater is my new favorite grey sweater and it’s currently on sale! I sized down one in the sweater because it is so oversized.

I recently added this dress to my wardrobe as I saw there was a hole for a black midi dress in my wardrobe. I wore it with white tennis shoes and a denim jacket this past weekend and got several compliments. The long vest brought this look to office chic and the leopard shoes keep it fun!

Would y’all be interested in a style session with this midi dress?

I couldn’t not style a denim on denim look with this vest. The olive breaks up all the blue and makes this look feel less country. Again, size down one in the jeans.

I wanted to style this with something other than pants or a dress, so I reached for my denim skirt which is also a new summer edition to my wardrobe. The skirt is on SUPER sale and available in all sizes. To keep it more season-appropriate, I added this turtle neck. I love the stripes with the olive. I sized up one in the turtleneck because it is 100% cotton and shrinking clothes is something I severely dislike. And I finished the look with my white tennis shoes. I sized down half a size in the shoes because I wear thin no show socks.

I love the sweater tank look for fall in the desert. This one is so comfy and on sale! If you have a more casual office environment this is a great look for work without wearing jeans. The metallic flat gives it a pop of fun!

So I love that this vest can be worn as a dress! It makes the piece that much more versatile. It does have a high slit, so a slip might be in your best interest to keep from exposing too much.

Earrings are Natalie Borton and unfortunately, not available. But, she does have some items available on Madewell.com or when she launches another collection on her website I have a discount code for you.

I hope this inspires you to try adding something new to your closet. You might be pleasantly surprised. So tell me, do you like these looks? What’s your favorite? Would you wear a long sleeveless vest? Let me know in the comments.

xx,

Lindsae
