Q2 Beauty Empties
This is the first post of its kind on my blog, and I am hoping to keep it up as a series. Every quarter, I will share my beauty empties with y’all - what I like, what I didn’t, and if I will repurchase something. I tend to stick to my patterns with products, so hopefully once a quarter will be regular enough to share but not too often to overwhelm. I know the beauty realm can be overwhelming. First, is the Ren Skincare Toner. I love this stuff. I truly feel it helps keep my skin clear and when a blemish does sneak through I find holding the toner on the blemish for a few seconds helps shrink it.
Will repurchase.
Second, is the only “foundation” I wear. The Ilia tinted serum is great. I don’t like a ton of coverage and I love that this has sunscreen. This is so lightweight and perfect for an evening out skin tone without feeling cakey. Especially for the warmer months, this is a great foundation.
Will repurchase.
I used this as an evening moisturizer and it was fine. I liked it, but I wasn’t in love with it. I look for something that keeps my face moisturized throughout the evening and I don’t feel like this locked everything in for the night.
Won’t repurchase
I love this daytime serum. It include Vitamin C and I really see a brightness in my skin when using this in regular rotation.
Will repurchase
I received a sample of this from Sephora and I fell in love. I add it to my evening moisturizer for an extra hydration boost. Some reviews complained about the smell, but it smells like CBD to me? I woke up to plump moisturized skin when I added this to my moisturizer.
Will repurchase.
Hands down my favorite face sunscreen. I use this daily after my skincare routine and usually this is where my routine stops foe the day. This sunscreen is pure magic. The formula is so light and doesn’t leave a white cast.
Will repurchase x 10
I’m thinking maybe I don’t love the bio retinoid line because this was underwhelming. I didn’t see much of a difference after using this and I feel like there are higher quality products out there.
Will not repurchase.
I added this to my daily moisturizer for added hydration, and I used this oil for gua sha. This oil feels so luxurious. I felt the oil helped my face stay hydrated all day long without feeling greasy.
Will repurchase.
