Summer is Shorts Season
Denim shorts like swimsuits, jeans, and bras are one of the most difficult things to shop for in my opinion. While the options out there are endless (again like swimsuits, jeans, and bras), it can be painstakingly difficult to find that pair denim shorts you want to wear on repeat all summer long. For the longest time, I struggled to find a pair to fit my muscular thighs, be the right length between booty shorts and mom jeans, and look stylish.
But this summer, I think I found the most perfect pair. These Madewell high-rise button front shorts are what my summer denim shorts dreams are made of. They're high waisted but not in an I-can't-breathe-kind-of-way, and they are the perfect length.
I wore them all over Knoxville last weekend while Brian and I were there to celebrate his brother's graduation and even wore them for the 7-hour road trip home. They are that comfortable. Madewell is quickly making a run for my favorite denim brand.
Unfortunately, this cute knotted tee keeps disappearing and reappearing on the Madewell website, so I included similar ones below in case it sells out. Sandals are Sam Edelman from last year, but I linked similar metallic options. His sandals are amazing for exploring new cities. I wore my first pair on a month long trip around Europe and have never looked back.
