Style Sessions: Sezane The 70s Trouser

When I first saw these trousers in the color coffee, I swooned. But unfortunately, I was too late. They were sold out, so when I saw them in this gorgeous baby blue I immediately added them to cart. I’ve wanted wide-leg full-length denim for some time now, and these check every box for me.

Things I love about these trousers:

  1. They are plenty long for this 5’9” lady. I had them tailored to wear with Converse or low heels. The 33.5” inseam is plenty long.

  2. The color is dreamy. It’s not too light that they feel super casual, but not too dark that they feel like they are only dressy jeans.

  3. They fill a void in my wardrobe that has been on my list for years.

  4. I don’t lean too heavily into the 70s aesthetic, but these jeans give me all the Daisy Jones vibes and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT!

Here are four ways I would wear the Sezane The 70s Trouser. I plan to add at least one of these looks to my packing list for our trip out to California.

look one

shirt: here and similar // bottoms: here // shoes: here, here and here // bag: here

This feels like the way I will wear these trousers the most. I had them tailored to wear with chucks specifically. This outfit just feels most me. It’s comfy. It’s easy. We love her.

I know this 1973 shit is mostly sold out, but keep an eye on it because it does come back!

look two

top: here // bottoms: here // shoes: similar // bag: here

I took a chance with this look. I wanted to find something edgier to wear with the trousers, so I slipped on my lug-sole Chelsea boots. Brian immediately said “you look cool!” And I felt cool.

look three

top: old // bottoms: here // shoes: here // bag: here // bag strap: similar

This looks feels so ‘70s to me. I love the strappy sandals, the flowy top tucked into the high-waisted pants, and the macrame bag strap. And it still feels like something I would wear. It leans toward the ‘70s without feeling costume-y.

look four

sweatshirt: here (soldout, but set an alert) // bottoms: here // shoes: here and here // bag: here

I love this look! I used the Crop Top Band to crop this sweatshirt. This feels very spring, but it’s still chilly where I live to me which is accurate for Ohio.

I’m super happy with the addition of these wide-leg trousers to my closet.

What is your favorite look? Would you wear these trousers?

xx,

Linds
