Heath Bar Icing

I don’t know about y’all, but every year for my birthday I would request my favorite dessert to help celebrate. It wasn’t something we had or made all the time, so it always felt extra celebratory when this was served.

The request? Angel food cake with Heath bar icing.

To be honest, we usually always made the angel food cake from a box (thanks Betty Crocker for always killing it). The icing is really what kicks this off. I’m talking tons of Heath bar bits, chocolate, whip cream. You could really forego the cake and just eat the icing if you want (guilty). It’s incredibly easy to make, too. Which is always a plus in my book.

ingredients

  • 1 8oz jar of chocolate fudge topping

  • 1 container of Cool Whip softened

  • 8 large Heath bars or 1 bag of fun size frozen

directions

  1. While still in the package, break Heath bars up (we used to go this with a hammer on the garage floor, but truthfully anything works as long as you get small pieces of candy bar)

  2. Mix chocolate fudge with softened Cool Whip

  3. Mix Heath bar bits in with chocolate fudge and Cool Whip mixture

  4. Keep in fridge until serve time

Seriously, it’s that easy. And it. Is. So. Good.

I hope y’all enjoy this treat as much as my family has and continues to do so throughout the years.

Xx,

Linds
